Research Interests: My main research interests include the etiology and development of internalizing and externalizing disorders and substance use disorders. Current research projects include studies addressing stability and change in behavior and cognition across the midlife transition (Colorado Adoption/Twin Study of Lifespan behavioral development and cognitive aging; CATSLife), the effects of cannabis legalization on persistent cannabis use (Colorado–Minnesota Cannabis Study; COMN), intergenerational transmission of cannabis use and cannabis use disorder (Colorado–Minnesota Parents, Adolescents, Temperament, and Health Study; COMN PATHS), the effects of high potency cannabis products on mental health and psychosocial functioning, and risk and protective factors for substance use and antisocial behavior in a clinical sample.
