When a family makes it a tradition to attend CU Boulder, it's something to celebrate. The Alumni Association's Buffalo Legacy program honors students, parents and grandparents who share the bond of being Buffs.
Graduating legacy students receive a free cord to wear during commencement to celebrate their family’s commitment to CU Boulder. Cord pick-up will be available at the Koenig Alumni Center May 8-11 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at our front desk to pre-registered legacy students. We will not be distributing legacy cords to students at Grad Bash 2017 on May 4 however legacy students will be able to pre-register for a cord at that time.
If you are unable to pick up your Legacy cord during Grad Fair and plan on walking in the May Commencement Ceremony we will have pick up times and locations at the Koenig Alumni Center the last week of April. Check back for more details.
Each year the Alumni Association awards scholarships to incoming freshmen and continuing students that meet the legacy requirement of having a parent or grandparent that also attended CU Boulder. You can learn more and apply for the scholarship online.
Throughout the year, the Alumni Association hosts special events for Buffalo Legacy students and their families. Stay tuned for information about our next event.
And of course, the Alumni Association thanks you for sending your student to CU Boulder as continuing your legacy is the greatest gift an alum can give the university.
