Kiki Canales-Gutierrez

Myrnalejandra (Kiki) Canales-Gutierrez was born and raised in Laredo, TX. She completed her bachelor’s in English and Spanish at the University of Texas at Austin. She takes particular interest in the constantly-evolving constructions of gender and childhood in literary and filmic work, as well as the outcome of indigenous influence on colonial literature. Outside of her research interests, she hopes to aid in developing programs that help Hispanic individuals with their transition into college.
