Élika Ortega's work focuses on digital literature, (not necessarily digital) media, cultural hybridity, books studies, reading practices and interfaces, digital humanities, and multilingualism in academia. My projects include A Handbook of E-Lit Reading, an archive of instructions to read electronic literature works; and Binding Media: Print-Digital Literature 1980s-2010s, a monograph investigating print-digital works of literature from a hemispheric perspective. Élika was the Program Committee co-chair for Digital Humanities 2018. She is also part of the executive committee of the TC Digital Humanities at MLA, and an Association for Computers and the Humanities executive council officer.
