Biography
Dick Obermann is a senior advisor for the CSPC. After receiving his PhD, he was a member of the technical staff of the MITRE Corporation for over a decade, working on a wide range of systems engineering projects. For the past three decades, he served as professional staff, space subcommittee staff director, and Chief of Staff for the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the U.S. House of Representatives. In that capacity, he had oversight over policy and programmatic issues affecting national and international space activities in addition to issues impacting the nation’s overall science and technology enterprise. Dick is an elected Fellow of a number of professional societies and a Member of the International Academy of Astronautics.
