Senior Fellow Dave Archambault II speaks at NAFOA Conference

On October 2, 2018, Senior Fellow Dave Archambault II spoke at the Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) Fall Finance & Tribal Economies Conference in Santa Ana, New Mexico.
The panel, titled “Why Banks & Tribes Should Care about Environmental & Social Investment,” was moderated by Matthew D. Gelfand, Managing Director, Senior Economist & Senior Investment Advisor at Rockefeller Capital Management. Panelist included Michael Bland, CDE Manager at Travois, and Dawson Her Many Horses, Wells Fargo’s Senior Vice President & Native American Business Leader.
At the panel, Mr. Archambault highlighted FPIEP's forthcoming case study Dakota Access Pipeline: Social Costs, Material Loss. The case study, which will add to the pool of targeted research on market risks and opportunities related to the “S” in ESG, quantifies the losses incurred by companies, banks, and tribes as a result of the Dakota Access Pipeline controvery.
