Research Interests

My longstanding interest is in participatory public health, where theory meets data meets practice! My research focuses on family health, refugee health, quality improvement, implementation science, and community-engaged work. Previously, I collaborated with local refugee resettlement organizations and Congolese families to design tailored messaging for sexual health education programs and COVID-19 pandemic policies. I also worked with REACHUP Incorporated, a local community organization to evaluate how well evidence-based 24/7 Dad fatherhood training program, translated among low-income African American fathers.

My current work is on a project completed with Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative using implementation science frameworks to evaluate implementation of Maternal Levels of Care (MLC) in Florida hospitals.
