Andres Villani Davila

  • Graduate Student
  • ATOMIC DEVICES & INSTRUMENTATION GROUP

Project Description:

The associates work entails but is not limited to the design, fabrication and testing of chip-scale atomic devices including atomic clocks, and quantum-based electrical standards. The associate designs new devices based on programmatic goals and physics understanding. The associate fabricates devices using established fabrication processes at NIST including anodic bonding, chemical deposition, micro-optics assembly and laser operation. The associate tests fabricated devices using precision laser and microwave spectroscopy. In addition, the associate analyzes data with a view toward understanding the underlying physics principles and will write research papers and present work at scientific conferences.

Research Interests:

Quantum metrology, remote sensing
