About the Pathways to Excellence Summer Intensive Program
CMCI's 2021 Pathways to Excellence Summer Program will be held in person on CU Boulder's campus.
Our university takes COVID precautions very seriously and has made a number of changes to classrooms and residence halls in order to ensure your safety. In the event that we are unable to be on campus, we are fully prepared to offer a remote version of Pathways. Our current plan for an in-person experience is informed by guidance from the university’s Pandemic Response Office, faculty experts, and local, state and federal public health agencies. Pathways to Excellence is a unique summer intensive program that prepares first-year CMCI students for academic success in media and communication.
Participating students create their own advertising campaigns, produce multimedia projects, receive math and writing instruction and tour newsrooms and advertising agencies. They also learn more about the curriculum in CMCI by working with faculty in each of the college's departments.
Before classes even begin, students meet new friends and launch their academic careers with a strong sense of community.
