Program Information for Summer 2025

The Bridges to Biosciences (B2B) is a summer research program at CU Boulder specifically for Front Range Community College (FRCC) students who are interested in life science research (e.g., biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, integrative physiology).  This is a great opportunity for FRCC students who plan to complete their Associate degree at FRCC and transfer to CU Boulder to earn their baccalaureate degree in life science.  Prior research experience is not a requirement for this program.

***We encourage students from historically underrepresented groups (e.g. ethnicity, disability, Pell-eligible, first-generation college student) to apply.***

Program Benefits include:

  1. Work in world-class research labs at CU Boulder to perform real-life research.
  2. Receive valuable B2B community support and CU transfer resources (e.g., transfer advisors, financial aid advisors).
  3. Participate in workshops to build scientific and professional skills.
  4. Opportunity to present your research at the summer research symposium.
  5. Upon completing the summer research program, eligible students could apply for the Bridges to the Baccalaureate Research Training Program to receive stipends and college tuition scholarships.
  6. Undergraduate research has also been shown to:
  • promote student learning, persistence, and identity in science
  • increase graduation rates among participating students
  • provide students with valuable research skills for future professional development and advancement.
