Outstanding Postdoc Awards are open for application!

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) will be awarding two Outstanding Postdoc awards during National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (NPAW), September 19th – 23rd, 2016.
The Outstanding Postdoc Awards recognize Research Associates or Post-Doctoral Fellows who are selected from those who present their research in a TED-style talk at the Postdoctoral Research Symposium on September 21st.
Awardees will receive a $250 visa gift card.
Eligibility: Must be a Research Associate or Post-Doctoral Fellow at CU Boulder.
Application Information: The application is a two-part process.
First, applicants must submit an online application (please see below) including a CV, one-page recommendation from a faculty mentor, a 100 word lay audience summary of a proposed 5-minute TED-style talk, and a 250 word abstract. Next, finalists will be chosen from the applicants to present their research in a 5-minute, TED-style talk given during the Postdoctoral Research Symposium on September 21st, 2016. Awardees will be selected from the finalists.

Important Dates: Written applications are due by August 15th. Finalists will be notified of their talk timeslot by September 1st.
Selection: Awards will be based on the individual’s communication and presentation of their research, curriculum vitae and faculty mentor recommendation. Awards will be judged by a panel of CU Boulder faculty.
