To the CU Boulder Community:

On Friday, April 19, 2019, at approximately 11 p.m., the CU Boulder Police Department (“CUPD”) was notified of a strong-arm robbery. The robbery A map showing the area southeast of Hale Science where the crime occurred.occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on the same date and was initially reported to Boulder Police. The victim reported that she was on the southeast corner of the Hale Science building when a white male appeared from behind a bush and demanded money. The suspect did not show or mention a weapon. 

The suspect is described as:

  • A white male
  • In his 20’s
  • Approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall
  • A short, brown beard
  • Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with hood pulled up over his head
