Conference Presentations

In February 2021, MASP’s faculty mentors Drs. Ramirez, Sewell, and Semsar, and program coordinator, Roshanne Ebrahimian presented at CU’s Conference for Student Success and Advising. Their presentation, called Intentional Inclusive Advising: An Intersectional Framework from the Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program, introduced the broader advising community to MASP’s model for creating inclusive, equity-minded advising relationships to intentionally and effectively support traditionally excluded students.

In June 2021, MASP’s faculty director, Dr. Celeste Montoya, and program coordinator, Roshanne Ebrahimian presented at The Student Financial Success Summit hosted by CampusLogic. Their session, called Community Building, Together: Enabling Well-Being, Resilience, and Success for First-Generation and Underrepresented Students, provided an overview of MASP’s structure and framework for building inclusive community and utilized program assessment data to demonstrate the effectiveness of intentional community building practices in student success programs.
