The BLACC Community at CU Boulder and School Year Involvement

Throughout the academic year, BLACC provides a supportive community and opportunities for students to engage in a variety of topics related to the intersections of Blackness. BLACC’s planning team, mentors, and instructors meet each week to envision and design programming to support CU’s historically excluded communities. Students participating in BLACC can apply for peer mentoring and/or leadership opportunies.

BLACC Summer 2021

BLACC Summer is a free summer program centered around bringing passionate incoming first year CU students together to engage in critical conversations around Black identity and existence in the academy and the world with the hopes of turning talk into praxis. BLACC Summer aims to cultivate leadership by educating incoming students about their untold histories, methods of resiliency, and how to apply revolutionary ways of thinking into their daily lives.

Students who apply and are accepted to participate will receive a $250 participation award at the conclusion of the program!

BLACC Summer will be held virtually in August 2021. Application is now open for Summer 2021 for Incoming First Year CU Boulder Students
