Most of Michael’s work focuses on the history and philosophy of science and on evolutionary theory. He is endlessly fascinated by the various fields of science, and is always eager to share his excitement for all things scientific. Before getting into philosophy, Michael earned his master’s degree in biology and taught science classes at a Phoenix-area high school that focuses on the visual and performing arts. After several years of teaching high school, Michael entered the philosophy graduate program at CU and received his Ph.D. in 2011. “I was drawn to philosophy because, like the sciences, philosophy covers a huge variety of complex ideas that are great fun to learn and to teach.”
