Before joining the Wuttke Lab, I was a member of the Novina Lab in Boston, MA at Dana Farber Cancer Institute where I did my undergraduate research on a long non-coding RNA SLNCR, which binds to the transcription factor E2F1. After undergrad, I was a high school chemistry teacher at Cristo Rey Fort Worth College Prep, in Fort Worth, TX while concurrently earning an M.Ed. from Notre Dame.
My current areas of interest are expanding our understanding of the mechanisms and biological relevance of transcription factor RNA interactions. Outside of the lab, I like to paint, do film photography, and explore!
