Robert Poyton

Robert Poyton received a B.A. from Brown University, a PhD from University of California Berkeley, and post-doctoral training at Cornell University. He has been with the University of Colorado Boulder since 1980. Dr. Poyton has trained several graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduates in his laboratory and taught several hundred undergraduate students and medical students in lecture courses. His research team has published more than 200 research papers in professional journals and several chapters in professional trade books. His areas of expertise include: aging, free radical biology, cell signaling, bioenergetics, and gene expression. Dr. Poyton has consulted for several biotech companies, breweries, venture capital companies, book companies, and federal agencies. Currently, he is writing a book on The Science of Aging and a book on Free Radicals.
