Isabel Gonzales

Isabel recently graduated in May 2019 from University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in MCDB. Her future plans including using her MCDB degree within a liberal arts context by attending law school and specializing in patent law. Isabel worked for Dr. Poyton as an undergraduate research assistant and was awarded the Biological Science Initiative grant to aid her investigation in aging and the role nitric oxide plays in caloric restrcition using yeast as a model organism. She is currently involved in co-authoring a review article that focuses on the mitochondria's role in olfaction and the beneficial physiological and psychological effects of nature therapy.
