Research
Characterizing zinc signaling in neurons. Specifically, I am investigating the spatiotemporal dynamics of both cytosolic and synaptic vesicle zinc signaling at the synapse. I am also developing a pH insensitive FRET sensor to probe the dynamics of zinc in synaptic vesicles and lysosomes.
Currently Funded by the CU Signaling and Cellular Regulation Training Program.
About Me
I love working with neurons and understanding their basic mechanisms. Outside of lab I enjoy cross country skiing, mountain biking, and running, and recently took up pottery classes.
