Our laboratory studies how human genes influence complex traits. We use human genotyping, DNA sequencing, and computational approaches to discover genes and genetic pathways involved in some human behaviors as well as in the formation and maintenance of the oral and gut microbiomes. Nearly all of our work involves large human cohorts and “big data” analyses.
