Carmen Black

Carmen is a PhD student in the Ramsey Lab. She has a bachelor's in Environmental Science and minor in biology and master's in Entomology and Plant Pathology from the University of Tennessee. In her masters, she worked on arthropod diversity studies, arthropod and bat interactions, and tick-borne pathogens. Carmen's main interests include parasite ecology, vector biology, and conservation biology. She currently works on Tropilaelaps mite life cycle, life history, and pathogen detection.
