Brendon Davis
- Graduate Student

Ren Davis is a PhD student in the Boulder Bee Lab. He is originally from Maryland and graduated with his bachelor’s in science from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The majority of Ren's scientific background spans across many disciplines from exercise physiology to nephrology, but his most enjoyable work has been studying insect behavior and evolutionary history. For his PhD, he is focusing on social parasitism within the Hymenoptera order, specifically ants. Ren's research aims to explore nestmate discrimination, behavior, and the evolutionary arms race between parasitic and host ant species. Outside of the lab, he enjoys aimless walks with my dog, drawing, watching movies of all types, and tattooing (newer interest).
