Climate Justice Leader Peterson Jean

Peterson was borned and raised in Haiti and moved to Colorado in 2017. He joined the Climate Justice Leaders Program because he values community, the environment and justice. In Haiti, Peterson worked with organizations that built community through street cleaning, recycling and reforestation projects, he primarily worked on tree planting and educational efforts. He currently works as a construction worker and is very interested in exploring how to make the industry more sustainable and less wasteful. He is working hard to obtain his GED in hopes of one day going to college. Peterson loves to dance, produce music and listen to Konpa - also he still does not understand why in the United States households have one car per person, in Haiti everyone commutes or shares rides!
