Engagement & Recognition

It'S Friday Events

ISIEC's It's Friday events are designed to bring staff members from around campus together to network and interact with people outside of their respective work groups.  The events rotate to be hosted at different locations of front line work groups on campus.

DEI Awards

ISIEC is looking for ways to recognize employees for their work in diversity, equity, and inclusion and has started an annual Excellence in DEI Award to be included with the I&S Annual Awards starting in 2021.

Exchange Program

A past program that ISIEC assisted in setting up was the Vision-Intercollegiate Exchange Program (IEP) seeks to educate, empower, engage, and develop our staff by facilitating opportunities to visit and network with the same, like, or similar professional staff and trades people from neighboring schools and universities.

The best way to be more engaged with DEI efforts and with your I&S colleagues is to reach out to join or connect with ISIEC today!

Development

Computer Literacy

ISIEC assists I&S HR with The Infrastructure & Sustainability Computer Literacy Initiative, which is intended to provide professional development opportunities for frontline service employees and increase employee engagement in the CU Boulder community.

I&S DEI Training

ISIEC assists I&S HR and leadership in setting up and hosting the Infrasctructure & Sustainability Diversity & Inclusion Training Series to help engage and develop our staff with topics on diversity & inclusion.

GED Programs

ISIEC is looking into GED Program options for staff and exploring ideas for assisting and expanding access to employees.  There is more work to be done and please contact us if you are interested!

Tech Training

ISIEC is looking to assist in developing more training for staff on technology especially with the shift to more remote work from the COVID-19 pandemic.  More information to come!

Communications

Exploring with ISIEC

Exploring with ISIEC is a section in the monthly I&S Employee Newsletter that ISIEC puts out where campus and other DEI resources and articles are shared with I&S staff.

Employee Spotlight

We value our coworkers and employees at CU, and want to ensure they are recognized and known in our community.  One of the ways we do this is through our Employee Spotlight in the I&S Employee Newsletter released monthly.

Membership & Recruitment

ISIEC values its members and is seeking to grow the committee!  Several ISIEC members are currently working on a project focussed on membership and recruitment for ISIEC through Innovation Buffs. See this July 2021 CU Boulder Today article about the program.

ISIEC Website

ISIEC manages this website for the committee in order to share information about what the committee is working on and to act as a resource for staff.
