Abigail Gibson

Abby is a PhD Candidate in the Van Hunnick History Department at the University of Southern California and Editorial Assistant for The Huntington Library Quarterly. Her dissertation reexamines U.S. westward expansion over the course of the 19th century through the lens of the history of emotions, reframing this process as involving both a territorial and emotional conquest. She participated in the Applied History Workshop at CU Boulder in June 2024
