Delta UpsilonDelta Upsilon was founded on November 4, 1834, at Williams College. Delta Upsilon is the sixth oldest men’s college fraternity and the first to be founded as non-secret. Delta Upsilon aims to provide a modern fraternity experience that creates men of character no matter the era. They were founded on four principles: the promotion of friendship, the development of character, the diffusion of liberal culture and the advancement of justice.

Delta Upsilon is the oldest non-secret, non-hazing fraternity. We were founded at Williams College in 1834 with the belief that the best way to build better men is not through secrecy but in transparency so that all can see how we build better men and help our community.

Delta Upsilon returned to CU Boulder in the Fall of 2019 as an associate chapter. Our focuses are on building a brotherhood based on supporting each other to become the best version of ourselves. We do this through brotherhood events where we have alumni, advisors, or other knowledgeable people have talks about how to achieve our goals. As well as having events where we get together and hang out at brothers’ houses or go on adventures around Colorado. We are also very committed to changing what it means to be a fraternity at CU Boulder. Currently, there is a negative stigma around fraternities and we are committed to changing this by doing service work to help improve our community.
