Imagination Summit, December 9 2014

The Grand Challenge Campus Imagination Summit held December 9, 2014  brought together over 170 Boulder campus faculty, staff and students, and representatives from industry and government, to focus on the Grand Challenge. Over the course of the afternoon, we worked together to define and develop the concept of “space innovation” at CU Boulder, and talked about how to establish CU Boulder as a recognized center where Earth and space sciences, engineering, business, law, social sciences, arts, and humanities faculty members, students, as well as public and private sector partners, explore, understand, and influence how space-based innovations and technologies impact business, law, and society.  We heard  from Colorado industry and government leaders,  talked about how to turn a Grand Challenge vision into reality, and brainstormed about possible Grand Challenge initiatives.
