Karen Jacobs is Associate Professor of English at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She served as the Senior Editor of ELN (English Language Notes) for six years, and the journal received the Council of Editors of Learned Journals’ Phoenix Award for Significant Editorial Achievement in 2008. She is now the co-editor of Genders. The author of The Eye's Mind: Literary Modernism and Visual Culture (Cornell 2001), as well as three edited volumes, her work appears in such venues as Narrative, NOVEL, Twentieth-Century Literature, GLQ, and The Journal of Visual Culture. She is completing two monographs: Trace Atlas: Itineraries of Literary Space “After” Postmodernism; and Afterimages: Nabokov • Sebald • Cole.
