Alina Van Nelson earned her Bachelor’s and Masters of Arts degrees from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania, and her PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has served as the first-year French class coordinator for seven years, and currently coordinates intermediate and phonetics French Classes. She also serves as an education abroad liaison for the French program at CU Boulder. Alina mainly teaches classes she currently coordinates (French 2110, French 2120 and French 3010). In August 2019, Alina became an ACTFL OPI certified rater. In her spare time, Alina loves to spend time with her family, read, garden and enjoys outdoor activities.
