The university's commitment to sustainability can be seen in the LEED-certified buildings popping up all over campus.

This initiative started with student leadership when students demanded that all new construction or major renovations on campus be LEED-certified. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the U.S. Green Building Council's certification for sustainable building.
