The goal of orientation is to provide the kinds of information and skills you need to be successful as a new administrator. Get acquainted and learn about the various units and offices who can help you with your most difficult problems/situations and come away with a better understanding of what it means to shift from your role as a faculty member, or chair, or at another institution to an administrative role.
This session is intended for new academic leaders including Deans, Associate Deans, Chairs, Associate Chairs, Directors, or Associate Directors appointed within the past year, and also current leaders looking for a refresher or to learn of new campus resources for leaders. New leaders should plan on attending both the Orientation and the Mini-Conference.
The orientation will be remote, with synchronous sessions on Zoom and asynchronous content accessed through Canvas. Once you are registered for the orientation, you will be enrolled in the Canvas course. The Zoom link for synchronous sessions will be provided upon registration.
