I was a plenary speaker at the Twenty Seventh International Conference on Head Driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG 2020). HPSG is a theory allied to Construction Grammar. I spoke on "Null Complementation in Sign-based Construction Grammar", presenting an analysis of implicit arguments in English developed with collaborators Paul Kay (UC Berkeley) and Rui Chaves (University at Buffalo).
