I gave a perfect talk, or at least a talk about the English perfect construction, on February 6, 2020 at Beyond Time 2: Non-prototypical uses of aspectual constructions in (more or) less typical environments. This international workshop on aspectual form, meaning and use, will take place at the Palace of the Academies (KVAB), Brussels. The first Beyond Time workshop – organized by Profs. Astrid De Wit, Frank Brisard and Laura Michaelis– took place in April 2017 at the University of Colorado Boulder. Now two of the original organizers will bring Beyond TIme to Europe, and  reunite renowned experts on aspectual semantics from a wide range of fields. My talk, an abstract of which can be found here, is entitled The English Resultative Present Perfect: What is the Event Elaboration Constraint?
