BoulderTalks Internships

A BoulderTalks internship challenges students through a variety of experiences. Our internships focus on developing communication practices that bridge classroom learning with community engagement. In general, BoulderTalks is seeking students that are committed to improving how our community addresses tough problems, especially from a local perspective. Students must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and working with diverse audiences. Students need to be “self-starters” and creative in the sense that the assignments they will be completing will require the students to work on their own and make decisions without clear instructions.

Interns would be involved in assisting with a variety of community-focused events sponsored by BoulderTalks. Possibilities include:

  • CU Boulder Diversity Summit, Spring 2017

  • Working with the Boulder Food Shed on issues of local food literacy

Internship tasks may include:

  • Event support

  • Transcribing

  • Typing up notes from community meetings
