Submission of the Food Application

  • Submit the Food Sample Request Form along with a booth application according to the instructions.
  • AT LEAST 3 recipes (maximum of 5) have to be submitted for the consideration of new dish.
  • All the recipes must be written using the IFC approved recipe form.

Selection of Recipe

  • Submitted recipes will be considered and reviewed by the CU iFest Food Committee members.
  • One recipe will be selected based on the cost of the ingredients and difficulty of preparing the dish.

Negotiation with the Catering Company (Only for the new recipes)

  • The recipe selected by the CU IFC will be sent to the catering company for the further consideration.
  • The method of preparation or ingredients may be modified during this process with the consent of the cultural booth representative.

Food Tasting (Only for the new recipes)

  •  All the new recipes will be prepared for the food tasting by the catering company to ensure the authencity of the dish.
  •  Booth representatives must attend the food tasting to provide comments on the dish prepared by the catering company.

Complete

  • The dish will be served by the catering company during the day of the event. All the new recipes will be modified based on the comments provided during the food tasting before they will be served.
  • Each booth must only provide food samples since CU iFest aims to provide a diverse cultural experience for as many members of the CU community as possible.
