Susannah Welch

Susannah works with the Alma Peer Mentoring Study and MMB for Moms. She is thrilled to be involved with projects that increase access and provide much-needed support for mothers during pregnancy and postpartum. Before beginning with the Crown Institute in 2021, Susannah had a variety of experiences working in education. She taught English both within and outside the US, conducted marine wildlife educational outreach, and served as an academic advisor. Susannah earned a BA in International and Intercultural Studies from Pitzer College in Southern California and an MA is in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi with research focusing on language and identity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, especially outdoors.
