Stella

Advancement

Stella is a CU Alum. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs along with a certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Colorado Boulder and began studies at American University for a Master of Science in Development Management. In 2014 she was awarded a fellowship at the White House where she worked in Mrs. Obama’s Communication Office. Her experience includes strategic communication, program management and client relationship, among others. 

Prior to transitioning to CU in July 2021 she works for the Department of Homeland Security where she worked closely with the critical infrastructure community to identify and analyze the most significant risks to our Nation. She began working at CU as a Senior Program Manager at the Crown Institute. Along with her passion for social justice, Stella cares deeply about education and empowerment of women. Stella enjoys mentoring young women as well as forming partnerships with community members and organizations that are strategically working in impoverished communities. Stella joined the advancement office in June 2022 and is excited to be part of this collaborative team.
