About the CU Boulder Chapter of the Dalai Lama Fellows Program
The Dalai Lama Fellows offers a unique one-year leadership program for emerging social change makers designed to help them cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and compassion; broaden their cultural perspectives; learn how to engage with complex systems; and work with local communities in sustainable ways.
All program activities (12 – 16 hours/monthly) engage a variety of mindfulness and contemplative practices, and receptivity to such practices is a key priority. Based on the Head, Hearts, and Hands curriculum of the Dalai Lama Fellows program, the fellowship is intended to be a deep dive into new, embodied, identity-affirming, social-justice, and equity-informed approaches to building community, shifting conventional industries, and informing leadership models.
Over the course of a year, with the support of mentors and coaches, each Fellow implements an original field project addressing a local challenge and learns how to interweave their own transformation with the transformation of the communities with which they are engaging.
The University of Colorado Boulder Renée Crown Wellness Institute is hosting a virtual information session to share details about the application process, program commitments, and scholarship funding connected to the program.
