Internships Required for Graduation

Undergradute Students

Some students are required to complete for-credit internships to graduate.

Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design

  • APRD 4931: Beginning in fall 2018, APRD students will no longer have to complete internship credit to graduate.  Internships will become:
    • Optional rather than required
    • Be evaluated by APRD on a pass/fail (P/F) basis rather than with a letter grade.
      • Students may still complete an internship of 1-3 hours for APRD upper-division elective credit during the fall and spring semesters, and up to 6 hours during summer, corresponding to the number of hours worked (50 hours/credit).

If the student elects not to enroll in an internship for a total of 3 hours of credit, they must substitute an upper
division APRD elective in its place. (This will be in addition to other required electives in the major.)
