Students attending (virtually) will be mostly juniors and seniors hunting for internships (spring internships begin in early January; summer internships begin in May; fall internships begin in late August) and those hunting for post-graduation jobs. We graduate students in May, August and December!
TIPS on how to navigage the vittual career fair platform are here.
And here is a video with helpful tips on registering, creating group and 1:1 sessions and more.
Feel free to share with students in 30-minute info sessions your company culture and any mentoring opportunities, including speakers, brown bag lunches with top-level executives and/or talent and anything you personally enjoy about your workplace.
Students will be dressed to impress with resumes in hand. Feel free to interview them on the spot, in virtual 1:1 sessions.
Note: The career fair coincides with the date you should post your internships/job opportunities for the following semester. Please post all job and internship opportunities on Handshake.
You’ll have the chance to virtually meet, and even pre-screen, talented students from all of our majors: Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design, Journalism, Communication, Media Studies, Critical Media Practices (documentary film production) and Information Science. CMCI offers upper-level credit for internships that meet our specifications. Many of our students do more than one internship, as they understand how competitive this job market is. They’re prepared to work hard and learn a great deal in their internships. Students and recent grads are also job hunting.
With a smile! While we certainly do our best to prepare students to approach your virtual 1:1 session with confidence, some are understandably nervous about promoting themselves. A friendly face does wonders to generate interest in your organization and put students at ease.
THIS FAIR IS VIRTUAL - NO NEED TO USE PARKING INFORMATION BELOW.

Students arrived prepared and focused; it was truly pleasure to work with those familiar with my business, as it enabled me to engage in deeper conversations with candidates without having to stop to explain my company's background.
