Environmental Engineering

Nadia is completing her PhD in environmental engineering, with a focus on activated carbon for disinfection byproduct control in a water reuse context. She holds a B.S. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from CU Boulder. Nadia is a Tunisian-American, who was born and raised in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. Her exposure to different cultures, practices, and peoples instilled a curiosity and drive in her to challenge her ways of thinking and work towards integrated and thoughtful solutions to global issues. Nadia is interested in water, sanitation, and hygiene and is excited to be a part of and learn from the Mortenson Center's passionate and thoughtful group of students. Outside of work, Nadia loves the outdoors, reading, listening to podcasts, and cooking.
