Stacey Flanagan

Stacey Flanagan serves as the Executive Director of Industry and Foundation Relations (IFR) at CU Boulder, where she leads a collaborative team focused on building strategic, mission-aligned partnerships with industry leaders and private foundations.

With over 20 years of experience in advancement, Stacey is driven by a passion for relationship-building that leads to meaningful, long-term impact. Her career includes leadership roles across higher education and healthcare, consistently guiding efforts that connect external partners to institutional priorities.

Prior to joining CU Boulder, Stacey was Executive Director of Development at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she led central development operations and played a key role in shaping campaign strategy. She also spent a decade at the Oklahoma State University Foundation and five years at the University of North Texas, helping to advance corporate and foundation partnerships, and contributing to a successful billion-dollar fundraising campaign.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Stacey earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of North Texas and an M.S. in Higher Education Leadership Studies from Oklahoma State University. She is a firm believer in the power of public research universities to drive innovation, expand access, and help solve society’s most urgent challenges.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and creating intentional experiences with her spouse that inspire curiosity, growth, and opportunity for future generations in their family.
