Ellie Busch

Ellie joined the alumni engagement team in March 2023 and leads volunteer engagement and alumni communications for CU Engineering. Her background lies at the intersection of volunteer management, community engagement, and higher education.

Throughout her career, Ellie has supported students, alumni, volunteers, and community partners across academic and nonprofit settings—building meaningful connections and creating opportunities for engagement along the way. As assistant director, she collaborates with the CU Boulder Engineering community to foster an inclusive and supportive network for students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners.

A forever Buff herself, Ellie earned her master’s degree in communication from CU Boulder. She’s originally from the northern edge of the Missouri Ozarks and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in communication and women’s studies from the University of Missouri–Columbia—the first public university west of the Mississippi River.
