Biography

Andrew Todd (DMA ’05) earned his bachelor’s and master’s of music from Northwestern University, was captain of the Northwestern soccer team and played soccer professionally before coming to CU Boulder for his doctoral program in musical arts. His career includes working for the coach of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team, performing as a concert pianist (his New York debut was at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall), and roles as the executive director at Aspen Public Radio, President and CEO of the Grand Teton Musical Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and senior director of advancement at the Palm Beach Opera in West Palm Beach, Florida.  

Todd’s impressive record of success includes partnering with leaders to define and elevate organizations’ overall strategic direction, demonstrated ability to build, inspire and lead teams to exceed goals, and a record of supporting staff in their professional development and career aspirations.

Todd also brings to the College of Music a demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) work, and emphasis on transparency and accountability. Additionally, he has strong experience and proven outcomes around community building, revenue and audience growth, and annual, major and principal gifts.
