Amber Story joined the College of Arts and Sciences Advancement Team in 2017 as an Associate Development Director fundraising for the CU Art Museum’s Sharkive acquisition. The Sharkive is a collection of prints and related material from over 40 years of printmaking collaborations between renowned artists and Shark’s Ink of Lyons, Colorado. She enjoys working with donors who are passionate about the arts and humanities. Amber is a proud CU alumna with a BA in Art History from CU Boulder and an MA in Arts Administration from New York University.
Prior to this position Amber worked at the CU Art Museum as the Marketing and Membership Manager and at the CU Foundation as an Assistant Development Director. Before working at the university, Amber worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver and Greenberg Van Doren Gallery in New York City.
Amber grew up in Denver. She lives in Broomfield with her husband, an alum of CU’s College of Engineering and Applied Science, and their two young children.
