Course and Description

  • Designed to supplement and strengthen student experiences while attending the large lecture physics courses.
  • Students work in groups on discovery learning exercises, assisted by undergraduate assistants (2.5 hours/week).
  • Activities include preparation for midterms, weekly quizzes, free body diagram problems, lecture reflections and group worksheets.
  • Co-seminar instructors are typically graduate students completing a PhD in PHYS and are involved in the physics education research on campus. They are very familiar with the course structure and the large lecture style of teaching.
