Research Experience for Undergraduates

The CU Boulder & JILA Physics REU program will begin accepting applications for the Summer 2017 program on December 15th, 2016.

The intellectual focus of this REU program is physics. Undergraduate students are paired up with preeminent faculty to do cutting-edge research in essentially all fields of physics.

Although the main emphasis of the summer is centered on each student's individual research lab, a variety of other activities take place during the program. In the past, activities included: ethics, electronics, and machining classes, a program on "Getting Into Grad School", as well as lab tours and a weekly science seminar series aimed at the students.

The program culminates with a day of presentations given by each of the REU students.

On this site, you can access all of the information about our program, our research, facilities, and our surrounding area as well as information about how to apply which will include a link to the application.

The CU Physics REU program is grateful for the continued support from the National Science Foundation.
