Global Citizen Awards
The Global Citizen Awards recognize outstanding contributions to international understanding by members of the CU Boulder community. Award nominations are collected each fall and winners are announced during International Education Week. The deadline for Education Abroad Student of the Year and Global Citizen of the Year is 5:00 p.m. on October 10, 2019. The deadline for the Muneeb Kamal International Student of the Year is 11:59 p.m. on October 20, 2019.
Muneeb Kamal International Student of the Year - deadline passed
Nominated by CU Boulder faculty and staff, the International Student of the Year is a student who:
- Is in the U.S. in a non-immigrant student status (e.g. F-1 or J-1)
- Is a global citizen and inspires global citizenship in others.
- Has made exemplary contributions to enrich the campus culturally and further international understanding.

Education Abroad Student of the Year - deadline passed
Nominated by CU Boulder faculty and staff, the Education Abroad Student of the Year is a student who:
- Is a global citizen and inspires global citizenship in others.
- Has made exemplary contributions to enrich the campus culturally and further international understanding.

Global Citizen of the Year - deadline passed
The Global Citizen of the Year is nominated by students, and is a faculty or staff member whom they consider a champion for international and/or education abroad students. This person may have helped them in a significant way, planned special activities for international students, advocated for international student needs, etc.
