Most students don’t know how to identify fake news, according to a recent study. Join librarians from CU Boulder, Boulder Valley School District, and Denver Public Schools for a panel discussion about how teachers and librarians are a pivotal force in helping students critically engage with information and sort out fake news.
The panel will include:
How can partnerships among teachers and teacher librarians promote critical thinking, digital literacy, and engaged citizenship? What can teachers do to foster information literacy if their school doesn’t have a teacher librarian or media specialist? How can teachers help scaffold information literacy throughout elementary and secondary curricula and assignments? Join us Wednesday, April 19 to find out.
