Stephanie identifies as Chinese American, and her family is from Guangdong, China. Stephanie was born in Dallas, Texas. She attended Austin College and received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, then attended Kansas State University where she obtained her Master's Degree in Chemistry. Despite her educational background in STEM, Stephanie switched to working with students. Stephanie has worked with K-12 students, community college students, and most recently worked with low income and/or students of color as a Student Success Coach with the Pathways to Possible program at Metropolitan State University of Denver. As a result of her experiences, Stephanie is passionate about serving students from underrepresented populations by providing access to opportunities, information, and resources. She strives to get to know her students individually and provide personalized support that empowers students. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys knitting sweaters, cooking new recipes, gardening, hiking, camping, and occasionally playing video games.
